If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there is no shortage of happenings in and around Noblesville.
The Noblesville Main Street Duck Race is today, Stone Soup’s “Once Upon A Mattress” youth production is today, as is StringTime on the Square with Cornfields and Crossroads, Shakespeare in the Park continues, and more.

More than 20 top-condition bicycles will be sold at bargain prices during a used bicycle sale and donation day from 10 a.m. to noon today at Recycled Cycles on Main Street in Westfield. The group repairs child and adult bikes throughout the year under the sponsorship of Good Samaritan Network.
Stone Soup’s annual youth production, “Once Upon A Mattress” musical, directed by Joey Murello with assistant director Katie Maudlin, will be on stage for three performances, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. today at Auditorium at the Annex at Ivy Tech Noblesville. Tickets are $10 at eventbrite.com and at the door.
Noblesville Main Street’s annual Duck Race down the White River will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Logan Street Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Noblesville. At 3:30 p.m2,000 ducks will be dropped from the bridge with the first-place winner to receive $1,000 and second- and third-place winners to take home $500 each. Buy duck race chances at $5 per ticket at the Noblesville Farmers Market.
Legacy Keepers Music’s annual free summer StringTime on the Square bluegrass music concert series is in downtown Noblesville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m the second and fourth Saturday. Lawn chairs and blankets and picnicking invited. The series continues tonight with Cornfields & Crossroads; Aug. 14, Rock Bottom Boys of Madison County; Aug. 28, Debbie Lanning and Medicinal Bluegrass; Sept. 11, Branded Bluegrass; and Sept. 25, PrairieTown/rain date.
Westfield Playhouse presents “Meet Me in St. Louis,” a summer youth production, is on stage through Sunday.

Noblesville High School 1963 graduate Gary Crask will sign copies of his latest book, “From the Other Side of the Track,” an historical fictional and charming love story set in and around the first running of the Kentucky Derby in 1875, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 31 at The Linden Tree Gifts in downtown Noblesville. The book was recently recognized as one of the best independently published books in the nation for 2020 by “Shelf Unbound.” The Crask movie, “Spirits of St. Paul: The Gangster Era,” which he directed, is available on Amazon Prime Video.
“The Belfry’s Apprentice Players Have Talent” is a talent show that will feature pre-registered youth ages 5-18 showcasing their talents during this free public event for spectators at 2 p.m. July 31 on the Hamilton County Courthouse Square in downtown Noblesville.
